Will it work in Phuket, Koh Samui, or the smaller islands?

Yes on Phuket, Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao, and Koh Phi Phi. AIS and True have strong coverage there. On smaller and more remote islands such as Koh Lipe, Koh Kood, and parts of the Surin Islands, coverage may be intermittent. This is a carrier coverage limit, not a Driftvoy limit — every Thai eSIM has the same constraint on remote islands.

Does it work at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi airport on arrival?

Accepted Answer

Yes. AIS and True both have strong coverage at all Bangkok terminals. Your eSIM activates automatically when you turn off airplane mode after landing.

What's the deal with the 50GB / 10 Days plan?

It's a Launch Deal — $9.99 limited to the first 100 orders, after which it goes to $14.99. The 50GB / 10 Days SKU is genuinely unique in the market: most providers don't offer this configuration. It's built for travelers doing a 1–2 week trip with heavy data needs, including hotspot for work, lots of video, and live streaming. Not reloadable, so once you use it, you'd buy a new plan rather than top up.

Can I top up without reinstalling?

On all standard plans — 1GB, 3GB, 5GB, 10GB, and 20GB — yes. Top up from your account, up to 10 times per eSIM. The 50GB / 10 Days Launch Deal is not reloadable.

Is this cheaper than Nomad or Saily?

On most SKUs, comparable or slightly above. Nomad's Thailand pricing is the most aggressive in the market — they have a 50GB / 10 Days at around $10 and a 10GB / 30 Days at around $10. Data-only eSIM. Works with internet-based apps including messaging such as WhatsApp, Telegram, iMessage, and LINE, plus maps, email, web browsing, and most social media. App-based voice and video calls such as WhatsApp, FaceTime, Zoom, and Google Meet may work where supported by the app and local network conditions. This plan does not include a local phone number, traditional voice calls, or SMS.
